"Tom McParland" (tommcparland)

...and now I just finished watching "John Dies In the End." I have no idea what the hell I just saw. For those of you who are unfamiliar, here is the trailer. I don't even know how to describe it... it was like "Bill and Ted" combined with "Donnie Darko" mixed with "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas."

Looks interesting. . . Maybe I'll give it a go if I end up drunk enough tonight. . .

I would not under any circumstances watch this movie, drunk, high...or even under the influence of too much coffee. It is a time-traveling, gory, sci-fi, metaphysical mind-fuck. That being said...it is pretty good.

I saw a dog in there. Tell me that the dog doesn't die.

I've watched worse under the influence before, I should be fine. Thanks for looking out though.

It does but it won't bother you...the dog goes in such a ridiculous manner and it was necessary for the plot. I will tell you this I refuse to watch movies when the dog has to die. To this day I still won't watch I AM LEGEND because I know he has to kill the dog. This movie, didn't bother me.

OK - I'll put this on my list. After I asked the question, I worried you were going to lie and tell me the dog doesn't die to mess with me. I like sci-fi, dystopian movies like I Am Legend but I too won't see that movie. I read that some actor from I Am Legend, I'm assuming not Will Smith, adopted the German Shepherd actor from the movie.

Nah, I knew exactly where you were coming from with that question. That is why I gave you the low-down. :)

Fuck them killing the dog in that movie dude, I was more sad about that than I was when Will Smith died. Other than the unnecessary dog violence, great movie.

awwww.......what a good doggie! You're definitely elevated in my book. My Vincent recently passed and my current Lance is living the good life now that he's been promoted to top dog:

Sorry for your loss...I don't care what anyone says, losing a dog is losing family. Those are beautiful animals.

Loved this movie. I highly recomend Troll 2 and Hobo with a Shotgun as well.

Thank you. Just in case anyone is confused, the big picture above is Lance the alpha wannabe and the Malamute in my avatar is Vincent, the real alpha, who passed. Your doxie really does look like such a good doggie, the way he/she has rapt attention on you, her master. I notice that because Malamutes tend not to pay a whole lot of attention to you.

Oh Doxies are stubborn little buggers I got lucky with that shot. Petey is smart enough to know commands but also smart enough to know whether or not you have treats. Because Doxies are hunting dogs, they tend to be independent. But he is a good pup, very tolerant of our 14mo old, not too many little dogs are like that.

READ THE BOOOOOOOOK!!! THEY CUT SO MUCH OUT WHEN THEY MADE THE MOVIE. The book makes so much more sense. Well, it's actually still an uncomprehensible cluster of wtf but it's still better.
